New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has vehemently criticized the publication of an English advertisement in leading newspapers for letting the farmers understand the so-called welfare in the guise of two ‘draconian’ Bills passed by the Parliament recently.
The national spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party and MLA Shri Raghav Chadha on Tuesday said that the false propaganda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government has become exposed after this advertisement.
He said that on the one hand, BJP-led MCDs are not able to pay the basic salaries of the doctors and nurses during the tough times of Corona and on the other hand, they are spending lakhs and crores of rupees on an advertisement. He termed this type of petty politics a mockery of the farmers who even can’t understand the MSP, PDF, and the public procurement in Hindi.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Shri ND Gupta, who was also present in the press briefing, added that the country and the Parliament is run by dictatorship and not on democracy, and said that the BJP government is now a government of ordinance.
Mr. Chadha said that by giving an ad in English in some of the leading newspapers of India, they are trying to explain the MSP and the MSP PDS system in India to the distressed and oppressed poor farmers and workers in the English language. “Please tell me, which farmer in India would read this newspaper and ad with his morning cup of cappuccino, and understand the MSP? I want to question the Centre, out of 62 crore farmers and workers in the agricultural sector in India, who are the people who would read this ad in English and understand MSP, PDS, and public procurement?” he added.
